Frequently asked questions
Everything about Trivio.NET Battles — modes, matchmaking, coins, and how it connects to the Trivio.NET mobile app.
What is Trivio.NET Battles?
Trivio.NET Battles is a free real-time PvP trivia game that runs in your browser. Two modes are available: 1v1 Duel (head-to-head, 7 questions) and 1v3 Brain Battle (4 players competing across themed rounds). You stake coins, answer faster than opponents, and win the pool.
Do I need to download anything to play?
No. Battles runs directly in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Sign in with Google or Facebook (or play as a guest), pick a mode, and you are matched with an opponent in seconds.
Is it really free?
Yes. The game is free to play. Coins are an in-game currency you earn by winning matches; if you ever run out you can install the Trivio.NET mobile app, which has additional Adventure Mode rewards and shares your account with the web version.
How is 1v1 different from 1v3?
1v1 is a single fast head-to-head duel: 7 questions, 7 seconds each, winner takes the pool. 1v3 Brain Battle is a 4-player tournament across multiple themed rounds — you pick the topic for your round, accuracy and speed both count, and the lowest-scoring player picks the final tiebreaker topic.
How does the matchmaking work?
When you click Play, we match you with another online player at a similar coin level within seconds. If no opponent is found, you can either wait or play against a bot. You can also challenge a friend directly by sharing a room link.
Can I play with my friends?
Yes. From the lobby, tap Friends or Invite, then send a challenge link via WhatsApp, Telegram, X, or any chat app. Your friend opens the link, signs in, and joins your room — no app install required.
What categories of trivia are available?
Battles uses the Trivio.NET question library, covering 30+ categories including History, Geography, Music, Movies, Sports, Science, Art & Literature, Animals, Pop Culture, Technology, Food & Drink, and more. New questions are added every week.
Does my progress sync between web and mobile?
Yes. If you sign in with the same Google or Facebook account on the Trivio.NET mobile app and on battles.trivio.net, your coins, level, name, and avatar are shared automatically — it is one account.
Is Trivio.NET Battles available in my language?
The interface is being rolled out in English, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish (Spain and Mexico), and Russian. Question content currently leads in English with other languages expanding.
Is this gambling?
No. Coins have no cash value and cannot be cashed out. Battles is a skill-based knowledge game — winners are determined by trivia accuracy and answer speed, not chance.
Still have questions?
The fastest way to find out is to play a round. It takes 90 seconds.
