How a Brain Battle plays out

Once four players are matched, the round begins. At the start of each of the first three rounds, one player draws a topic-pick card and chooses from a hand of categories — animals, history, science, music, geography, sports, movies, food, and many more. Everyone else plays that round on the chosen topic.

Within each round, all four players answer the same questions simultaneously, on a fixed timer. Faster correct answers score more. After three rounds, the standings show first through fourth.

Then the comeback rule kicks in: the player currently in last place picks the topic for the final, decisive round. If you've been stuck on geography you cannot stand, this is your moment to drag everyone into your wheelhouse.

Two formats

Ranked — five preset entry-fee tiers from free Training to high-stakes Legends. Public matchmaking, fixed rules.

Custom rooms — set your own number of rounds, answer time, entry fee, and reward. Public lobby browser or share-link to invite friends.

Stakes & payouts

All four players post the entry fee. Only first place gets paid.

  • • 1st place: winner reward (scaled, see lobby)
  • • 2nd–4th place: stake forfeit
  • • Custom rooms: reward set by the host

Best for

Brain Battle is the right mode when you have a few minutes for a real tournament, want to play with three friends in a private room, or want the strategic depth of choosing topics versus reacting to them. The comeback rule keeps things competitive even after a rough first round.

If you'd rather just settle a head-to-head bet in 90 seconds, 1v1 Duel is the faster format.
